We created quite a scene here but that was the plan.
It turns out the bird was a hawk… a very tired hawk.
One of the facility guys took off his shirt and was able to catch the bird without too much trouble.
He came down a couple floors and let the hawk go.
The hawk did a big half circle and made some loud calls out to us as he flew away. I told the worker guy that the hawk was thanking him before flying away.
You can just see the hawk (near the security camera) flying away. My job here is done
Thanx for helping out with this bird who was caught up in that garage. I'm proud to know ya.
ReplyDeleteGreat job Don! You made my day.

I'm glad it worked out as well as it did. :)
ReplyDeleteYay! You did your good deed for the day. You and Tigger will get a pass for him being on the beach. Really enjoy following your blog and all the interesting places you find.

Your previous blog made me so sad. There are so many heartless people in the world when it comes to our furry (and feathered) friends and family. This blog made my heart soar right along with the hawk. Thanks for taking care of that beautiful, grateful bird. Great story. Thank you.
ReplyDeletePS. Almost forgot - the piece I'm entering for my writing competition next month is called, "A Pigeon Story." I'm almost done with it but may just have to enter a Hawk character. ;)
